Park Attendant – Farmers Market
Part-time/As-needed
Salary Range: $15-17/hour

 

JOB SUMMARY: As a Park Attendant, you will provide public service, grounds keeping, and event support under general supervision. Responsibilities include assisting the Market Manager, performing maintenance duties, and ensuring a positive guest experience. Must work Saturdays from 5am to 2pm from April to December.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Greet guests and vendors, assist with sales, and answer inquiries.
• Maintain accurate revenue logs and issue receipts.
• Provide information and support to park users.
• Collect trash and maintain cleanliness in park areas.
• Support park events with setup and cleanup.
• Perform custodial duties and clean facilities.
• Operate light equipment and perform maintenance.
• Report hazards and attend department meetings.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum age of 18.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Familiarity with City policies and procedures.
• Clerical and landscaping knowledge.
• Understanding of safety precautions and equipment operation.
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain relationships.
• Proficiency in performing basic math and record-keeping.

This role encompasses a variety of tasks aimed at providing excellent service and maintaining park facilities.
